A Day in Forest Park - Magic!

Today we drove over to St. Louis and spent some time in Forest Park...the leaves are changing - so beautifully - and it was definitely sweater weather =)

Anyway, do you know how sometimes people come into your life and you feel as though you were *meant* to know them, or places you travel to - where you were truly *meant* to be ... well, that is how I feel about Forest Park. I remember feeling that way about it when I was little - soooo very long ago LOL. I don't know, perhaps it is simply because I was there as a child, but if I am being true to my heart, I know I must go there - and go there often. It really lifts my heart and soul, and I am refreshed and happy then to come back home. Some places, I suppose, are really magic - and for me, that place is one of them.

I hope you are all having a beautiful weekend, wherever you are. xxoo, Peggi

Sounds like you have moved near your old homeland. That's so cool. We moved to Spokane about a year ago - which is a thousand miles from my homeland. But just two blocks away we have a glorious old-time city park with formal gardens and rose gardens and hundred year old trees and little old men sitting on benches in their suits and a duck pond with toddlers racing around and every time I go over there it's like being home again in Golden Gate Park - where I spent so much of my childhood and youth.
So I know the grateful feeling.

We had a Forest Park too (in Mass) that I feel the same way about! We used to go there for picnics when I was very young and they had a small zoo there with wonderful polar bears. Thanks for jogging those sweet memories with your lovely photos! xox Deb
