Sanctuary

Been introspective as of late ... yesterday was the year anniversary of my Dad's passing away, and so I felt more like "laying low" a bit. I planted some herbs and small flowery plants (love allysum! their scent is soooo beautiful!). My Dad, as some of you know, was very instrumental in my love of art and in my blogging...I guess when I do a picture, or post something here, it is really in his memory that I do so. Damn - life really can suck sometimes...In May my Mom will have been gone for seven years. She passed away on Mother's Day in 2000; both of them suffered through long and valiant battles with cancer. Anyway, I do not mean to sound like a "downer" here; I know that everyday I get stronger and grow and will most certainly keep on living my life to its fullest. Truly I believe that is how we can best honor those we have lost. So my post today is for them, and for you my sweet blogging friends ... reach for the stars, and make your wildest dreams come true! xxxooo

OMG!!!--this is beyond lovely Peggi!!! It has such a spiritual essence and emits a feeling of calm. Gorgeous!

Thanks for the comment on my digital piece--coming from you, it is a huge compliment!! It's no where near as incredible as your digital art.

Hugs,
Susan

Just wanted to say, Peggi, that losing your parents is one of the hardest things a person can go through. Cherish your memories of them and ponder the good things that they taught you. I love the art you have posted since I've last been here, and this picture is particularly lovely.

You commented on my photoblog about your dream...YOUR post truly has a dream quality! The beautiful woman by her mystical white horse gazes wistfully into the perfect "other place" where things are as they should be...no sickness or death there. The mist obscures the way, but you feel that if she got on the horse, it would know the way...
