My new 2017 calendar is ready for purchase! Please click on the Lulu link, in the right margin and it will take you to the page where you can place your order. This is a 12 month calendar, glossy, measuring 8.5" x 11" - featuring 12 unique digital images that I've created. These can be matted and framed, as the months go by, so it is pretty much like getting 12 prints for only $14.99. Pretty cool, I think =) Please let me know if you have any questions! Theme Thursday - Vintage Valentine

Here is my submission to Theme Thursday's challenge this week, Vintage Valentine. Vintage image of little girl is courtesy of Outsider Artists.

Jesse James Farm

One of my favorite parts of our recent trip was our visit to the James Farm - James - Jesse James =) It was on the last day as we entered Missouri, right outside of Kansas City. Ever since I was ten years old and watched the movie "Jesse James" starring Tyrone Power and Henry Fonda I have been intrigued by the James lore, so I was delightfully surprised when everyone in the car said, "Let's go there!" So cool ... anyway, we got there about 15 minutes before closing time and our handsome young guide (who looked an awful lot like Jesse in his younger days) was kind enough to take us on a lengthy tour of the house, answered a lot of questions, and allowed me to take some photos (only of the outside of the James home and the land surrounding it). The interior of the house is interesting and also rather sad when you think about some of the things that happened there). Overall, it was a great experience - I got a lot of pics (which I will post shortly) and I was glad to see that out of respect to the James family descendents the farm is a quiet and peaceful place to visit and walk.

New Mexico Farm

On the eastern side of Santa Fe, heading north into Colorado ...

Some more Arizona photos

Here's a couple of photos taken during our much-too-short time in Arizona. The first is a quaint little house in Bisbee - I really like that gargoyle - every house should have one, I believe =)
The second group is of the hotel we stayed at while in Phoenix. The Hilton Pointe at Squaw Peak is one of the most lovely places I've ever stayed. Very relaxed, with an awesome waterpark (yes, people were swimming - it was "perfect for swimming" type weather) and lots of lush green plants and beautiful flowers. If you are ever looking for the perfect place to stay in the Valley of the Sun then IMHO you gotta try this place, baby!!
The last group is from Flagstaff - just a few hours away from Phoenix and all the swimmers, were people sledding down hills and lots of the gorgeous white stuff. Arizona is my favorite place in the whole world (of course I haven't been to France yet LOL) - I can't wait to go back this spring =) Hope you enjoy the pics! xxoo

A Day in Bisbee

Those of you who know me and my blog know that I love Bisbee, Arizona - and I love to blog about Bisbee. Here is a link to an awesome treasure trove of information on Bisbee and its intriguing history. The people that live there are some of the nicest you will ever happen to meet - artists, photographers, authors, shopkeepers, actors, and - of course - a fantastic bunch of hippies too =)
I took a lot of pics in Bisbee the other day, so this is just a small sample of what I will be posting here for you. If you ever venture that way be sure and stop by the Old Bisbee Repertory Theatre, enjoy a visit to the Twist and the Tang Galleries, and grab a coffee at the Bisbee Coffee Company and dinner at The Bisbee Grille or the Cafe Rocha - you'll be glad you did =) Hugs, Peggi

Vacation Pics

Whew! Just got back this evening from a week long adventure to the Southwest...and I have got 300+ pics to share! This first batch tonight will be kind of small due to the fact that I'm pretty darn tired and should probably get some sleep; however, I will most definitely be posting a lot of new images over the next few weeks - what fun!!!
These three pics are from the second and third days of our journey - the sunset photo is near Deming, NM on I-10 as we were getting ready to enter AZ. I was so excited to be visiting AZ that I took this out of the car window so we didn't have to stop - thankfully it turned out okay. The other one is of native plants taken at the top of the Mule Mountain Pass near Bisbee, AZ; and the last photo, of the red berries was taken in a Bisbee alleyway (I totally undeniably LOVE Bisbee alleys!)
Hope everyone is having a happy New Year and that you enjoy these pics...more to come soon! Big hugs, Peggi
